Flipkart's logistics arm Ekart opens network to third-party brands

Flipkart Group's logistics arm, Ekart, has opened its national logistics network to external businesses, including small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, and larger enterprises. This move allows third-party companies to leverage the infrastructure used by the e-commerce major.

As part of this expansion, Ekart is rolling out a franchise model for small businesses and scaling its dedicated warehousing capacity for external clients. Over 300 franchise outlets are already operational across several major Indian cities, with plans to expand to more than 1,000 outlets by the end of 2026.

Through the franchise network, MSMEs and small businesses can utilize Ekart's national delivery network without needing to build their own logistics infrastructure. They will also gain access to Ekart's technology stack, including real-time shipment tracking and AI-powered address resolution.

Ekart has also opened approximately one million square feet of dedicated warehousing space for external brands seeking end-to-end fulfillment services. The company is further increasing capacity in key regions, utilizing AI-powered demand forecasting to help brands optimize inventory placement and reduce delivery times.
