Flix, a global travel technology company, announced it has acquired a majority equity stake in Flibco, a European digital platform specializing in airport transfers. The transaction signifies Flix's expansion into the airport shuttle segment and aims to strengthen its presence in the European travel market.

Flibco, previously owned by Luxembourg-based SLG (Sales-Lentz Group), operates services at numerous European airports and utilizes an asset-light business model focused on digital solutions. This approach aligns with Flix's strategy, positioning Flibco as a complementary addition to the Flix Group's digital ecosystem.

The investment represents a strategic move for Flix to broaden its portfolio beyond its core long-distance intercity bus services. The company has already introduced airport shuttle services in select markets and sees potential in scaling these connections by leveraging Flibco's established network and expertise.

Flibco will continue to operate under its current management and maintain its asset-light model. Its routes will be integrated into the Flix platform, allowing customers to combine airport transfers with Flix's broader travel offerings. SLG will remain a minority shareholder and strategic partner in the venture.
