Bus travel company Flix announced on January 13, 2026, that it has acquired a majority stake in Flibco, a platform specializing in airport transfers. The acquisition is set to strengthen Flix's position in the European travel market and open new avenues for growth in the airport transfer segment.

Flibco, previously part of Luxembourg-based SLG (formerly Sales-Lentz Group), provides services at seven European airports. The company will continue to operate as a distinct entity within the Flix group, maintaining its existing management and workforce. SLG will remain a minority shareholder and strategic partner.

The investment in Flibco marks a strategic expansion for Flix, which has already introduced direct airport transfer services and operates intercity bus routes connecting numerous airports throughout Europe. Flibco's established network and expertise are expected to facilitate the integration and growth of the Flix platform.

Flibco's business model, characterized by its asset-light approach and focus on digital solutions, aligns well with Flix's strategy. In the future, Flibco's services will also become available on the Flix platform, allowing passengers to book airport transfers directly through the FlixBus and FlixTrain apps or website. Both companies share a vision for accessible and sustainable mobility.
