These include Potsdam, Germany, noted for having the most green area per capita, and Utrecht in the Netherlands, which is targeting complete energy neutrality by 2030.
Other featured destinations are Valencia, Spain, named European Green Capital for 2024, and Munich, Germany, known for its expansive English Garden and climate goals. Stockholm, Sweden, the first European Green Capital, is also on the list, alongside Vienna, Austria, which boasts significant parkland and pursues zero-waste initiatives.
