Munich – Mobility services company FlixMobility announced it has successfully closed a financing round, bringing in US investor Canyon Partners. The structured funding, a mix of equity and debt, totals over $650 million. The company's valuation has risen to over $3 billion, marking a significant increase from its 2019 financing round.

This latest capital injection is intended to accelerate FlixMobility's strategy and support its global expansion efforts. The company aims to strengthen its presence in the United States, Portugal, and the United Kingdom, while also expanding its operations in France, Turkey, and Eastern Europe. Additionally, FlixMobility is focusing on developing its FlixTrain rail services in Germany and Sweden.

"This financing is a strong sign for the future and for our vision to provide sustainable mobility with FlixBus and FlixTrain to people all over the world," stated Jochen Engert, founder and CEO of FlixMobility. The secured funding positions the company well for continued international growth.

FlixMobility navigated the pandemic by adjusting its network and investing in technology and automation. The company is now prioritizing accelerated growth in both new and existing markets, alongside expanding its train offerings across Europe.
