Floods in South and Southeast Asia: Aktion Deutschland Hilft Releases Infographic

Aktion Deutschland Hilft, a German association of aid organizations, has released an infographic illustrating the impact of severe flooding in South and Southeast Asia during July and August.

The heavy rainfall caused rivers to overflow their banks in multiple countries, leading to landslides and flash floods. The infographic highlights that the floods have destroyed roads, bridges, and buildings, obliterated crops, and inundated millions of hectares of farmland. A significant number of people require urgent humanitarian aid.

The aid alliance, comprising over 20 relief organizations, is focusing its efforts on providing emergency shelter, hygiene measures, medical aid, and distributing food and clean water. Several member organizations are already operating in the affected disaster zones.

Aktion Deutschland Hilft emphasizes the need for swift and coordinated assistance to support affected communities. The infographic serves as a tool to convey the scale of the disaster and the ongoing relief efforts.
