Florida Poly Unveils Designs for New Student Achievement Center

Florida Polytechnic University has unveiled designs for its new Student Achievement Center (StAC), a facility intended to become a centerpiece of student life and support the university's rapidly expanding enrollment. Renderings of the three-story, 138,000-square-foot building were presented to the University's Board of Trustees on Thursday.

The $87 million StAC features a dramatic curved roofline, an expansive glass facade, and open, light-filled interiors. It is designed to complement Florida Poly's existing architecture and serve as a dynamic hub for student study, collaboration, and connection. The facility will consolidate spaces and services that support students throughout their academic journey, from enrollment to graduation and preparation for STEM careers.

Key features include dedicated study areas, collaborative multimedia environments, student support services, career and internship development spaces, an auditorium, instructional rooms, and gathering areas. University President Dr. Devin Stephenson stated that the center will transform the student experience and become the heart of a thriving campus community.

The StAC was designed by architecture and engineering firm HOK, with Skanska USA Building leading construction. Construction is slated to begin in the spring, with completion expected in Fall 2028. This development aligns with the university's goal to reach 3,000 students by 2030.
