Fluence Energy Sued for Securities Fraud Following Stock Plunge
Energy storage systems provider Fluence Energy faces a securities fraud class action lawsuit. The company's stock dropped significantly due to alleged misrepresentations about manufacturing operations and financial guidance.

Fluence Energy, Inc., a provider of energy storage systems and software for the renewable energy sector, is facing a securities fraud class action lawsuit. The suit alleges that the company and certain executives misled investors regarding its manufacturing operations and its ability to meet revenue and EBITDA guidance.
The legal action follows a series of significant stock price declines. In February 2026, Fluence's stock fell approximately 34.6% after the company reported a net loss and a year-over-year decrease in gross profit margin, citing "additional estimated costs on two projects" outside the U.S. Further declines occurred in August and September 2026, as the company repeatedly lowered its financial forecasts due to production delays at new contract manufacturing facilities.
According to the complaint, Fluence had issued strong fiscal year 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA guidance, partly driven by anticipated demand from data centers. The company allegedly assured investors that it had secured manufacturing capacity to meet this demand.
Plaintiffs allege that Fluence failed to disclose that several new contract manufacturing facilities were not completed, operational, or capable of producing the volumes projected in the company's guidance. The case is pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, with a lead plaintiff deadline of November 27, 2026.
