FOBA Unveils Laser Marking for Multi-Level Components
FOBA Laser Marking + Engraving has introduced new laser marking capabilities for complex parts with varying heights. The systems offer dynamic focusing to ensure precision in direct part marking.

FOBA Laser Marking + Engraving has developed new technology to enable precise and efficient laser marking on complex components with varying heights. The company's systems address challenges posed by height differences in direct part marking, a common requirement in industries such as medical technology, automotive, and electronics.
Traditional marking processes often necessitate manual adjustments or precisely engineered fixtures when marking components of differing heights, which can lead to inefficiencies and potential marking errors like blurred lines or inconsistent widths. FOBA's solution incorporates a Z-galvanometer, adding depth control to the traditional X and Y axis steering. This allows for real-time adjustment of the laser’s focus, enabling the processing of multi-level surfaces in a single operation.
Advanced systems, such as FOBA's NextGen Y-Series fiber lasers, offer a focus range of up to 99 mm and reduced setup times by integrating this dynamic multi-level marking capability. The technology ensures stable, efficient, and repeatable marking processes for components with varying sizes or complex geometries, enhancing both productivity and quality consistency.
According to FOBA, the dynamic focusing reduces process complexity and eliminates the need for mechanical axes, leading to a more stable and efficient process. This is crucial in industrial settings with high demands on both production speed and marking quality.
