Fonecta Group Oy Q2 Interim Report Shows Revenue Decline, Stable Profitability
Fonecta Group Oy's second-quarter revenue decreased to EUR 20.5 million, reflecting structural shifts in its directory assistance and media sales businesses. Adjusted EBITDA saw a slight decrease, while adjusted operating profit remained stable.

Fonecta Group Oy released its interim report for the second quarter of 2026, indicating a decrease in revenue. For the period of April to June, the company's revenue stood at EUR 20.5 million, down from EUR 22.6 million in the same period last year. This decline is attributed to the structural decrease in the Directory Assistance business within Konnektio and reduced exposure to low-margin pass-through media sales within Oikio.
Adjusted EBITDA, including EUR 0.2 million in non-recurring items, fell by 3.9% to EUR 6.5 million from EUR 6.7 million year-on-year. The decrease in EBITDA follows the lower revenue but was partially offset by operational efficiency improvements.
Despite the revenue and EBITDA dip, the adjusted operating profit remained unchanged at EUR 5.5 million. This suggests the company's cost management and operational efficiency measures helped maintain profit levels amidst market challenges.
The financial results reflect ongoing changes in the digital marketing and information services sector, where traditional directory services face evolving competition and shifting consumer behavior.
