Foresight Group backs IT services provider VS Group's acquisition strategy
Foresight Group has invested in VS Group, a provider of IT and cyber security services. The investment supports VS Group's growth strategy, which includes acquisitions of small and medium-sized businesses in North West England.
Foresight Group has invested in VS Group, a rapidly growing provider of IT and cyber security services. The investment is the first from Foresight's latest North West SME fund, designed to support the company's "buy and build" strategy.
As part of this strategy, VS Group has acquired The PC Support Group, an established IT Managed Services Provider based in Liverpool. This acquisition will increase the enlarged group's customer base by over 200 and is expected to be the first of several bolt-on deals.
Founded in 2012 by Kevin Penman and Jason Savion, VS Group, with operations in Lancashire and Manchester, aims to expand its market reach through strategic acquisitions. The company has also appointed experienced IT executive Iain O'Kane as Chair to support its leadership team.
Industry analysts note a strong demand for IT and cyber security services driven by the ongoing trend of flexible working. Foresight plans to support VS Group's organic growth alongside further strategic acquisitions across the North and Midlands regions of England.
