Former Engineer and Preschool Teacher Launch Color Me Mine Franchise
Antima Jain and Pooja Choudhary, immigrants from India, have opened a Color Me Mine pottery studio in Edina, Minnesota. The business partners invested approximately $300,000 to establish the franchise, focusing on creating a space for customer connection and memory-making.

Antima Jain, a former preschool teacher, and Pooja Choudhary, a former engineer, have partnered to open a Color Me Mine paint-your-own pottery studio in Edina, Minnesota. The two immigrants from India invested approximately $300,000 in the franchise, which officially opened its doors in March 2025.
Jain and Choudhary first met 11 years ago and quickly discovered shared interests and life experiences, including raising children and a mutual appreciation for creative projects. Their proximity and growing children's independence led them to explore business opportunities together, ultimately choosing the Color Me Mine franchise model.
The decision to franchise was driven by a desire for a structured business model that offered support while allowing for independent operation. They were drawn to the studio's calm, colorful, and organized environment, seeing it as an ideal space for customers to connect and create lasting memories.
Jain brings a background in commerce and early childhood education, while Choudhary has a master's degree in electrical engineering and experience in real estate investment. Both recognized the franchise's balance between autonomy and established operational guidance as a key factor in their entrepreneurial journey.
The studio allows customers to select, paint, and customize ceramic pieces, which are then glazed and fired. The business has already been part of significant customer moments, including a marriage proposal planned and executed at the studio, underscoring its role as a venue for personal celebrations and creative expression.
