Fortum completes acquisition and delists Elmera Group
Fortum has finalized its acquisition of Elmera Group ASA, leading to the official delisting of the Norwegian energy provider from the Euronext Oslo Børs.

Energy company Fortum has completed the takeover of Elmera Group ASA, a move that concludes with the removal of Elmera’s shares from trading on the Euronext Oslo Børs. The acquisition was finalized on November 6, 2026.
This consolidation is part of Fortum's efforts to scale its Consumer Solutions division. By integrating Elmera, the company aims to solidify its market share within the Nordic electricity sector, specifically targeting residential and small-to-medium enterprise consumers in Norway.
Beyond market expansion, Fortum intends to leverage Elmera’s existing digital customer management infrastructure and retail service capabilities. The transition marks a strategic pivot toward strengthening the company's platform in a competitive Nordic energy landscape.
