Forum Communications International, a provider of connected life-safety and emergency-alerting systems, has announced the launch of its new ForumAlert SMART Cabinet for AED. The cabinet is described as battery-powered and wirelessly connected.
Designed to house and protect automated external defibrillators (AEDs), the wireless capability allows for remote monitoring of the device's status, which is critical for ensuring readiness in emergencies.
The company expects to begin customer shipments of the cabinet in late 2026. Forum Communications has historically focused on connected safety and alerting systems for aviation and enterprise environments.
The product was showcased at the ARFF Chattanooga event. The launch comes as the availability and maintenance of AEDs in public spaces continue to be a focus for emergency preparedness.
