Foton Motor and Zhuoyu Technology to Collaborate on Commercial Vehicle Intelligent Driving
Foton Motor and Shenzhen Zhuoyu Technology have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop and deploy advanced intelligent driving systems for commercial vehicles.
Beijing, October 8 – Foton Motor, a commercial vehicle manufacturer, and Shenzhen Zhuoyu Technology, an autonomous driving technology firm, have formalized a strategic partnership.
The collaboration will focus on the development and implementation of intelligent driving solutions across various commercial vehicle applications. Areas of cooperation include highway and national road pilot-assist driving for heavy-duty trucks, intercity NOA (Nodally Optimized Autonomous driving), autonomous logistics vehicles (Robovan), urban NOA for light commercial vehicles, and the international promotion of advanced intelligent driving systems.
The companies plan to jointly develop intelligent driving solutions leveraging Zhuoyu Technology's model algorithms and sensor fusion, combined with Foton Motor's expertise in vehicle control and integration. The objective is to create scalable and cost-effective intelligent driving products for heavy trucks, light commercial vehicles, and autonomous logistics vehicles.
Initial efforts will concentrate on highway scenarios, with plans to expand to urban roads and national routes. The partnership also aims to advance pilot programs for L3/L4 autonomous driving and explore overseas markets for China's intelligent commercial vehicle technologies.
