Foxconn's Kathy Yang Recognized on Fortune's Most Powerful Women in Asia List
Kathy Yang of Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) has been named to Fortune's 2026 Most Powerful Women in Asia list for the second consecutive year. She represents the technology sector, which is strongly featured.

Kathy Yang, who leads Global Campus Operations and AI Software and AI Infrastructure Business for Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), has been recognized for the second year in a row on Fortune's 2026 Most Powerful Women in Asia list. The recognition highlights her role at the intersection of the physical industrial world and AI for the world's largest electronics manufacturer and AI server provider.
Yang is among 16 honorees from the technology sector, which is the most represented industry on this year's prestigious list. Her inclusion underscores technology's increasingly central role in the Asian economy, as companies spanning digital platforms, advanced manufacturing, and other tech-driven industries grow in scale and influence.
Fortune's Senior Director for the Asia List, Charmian Choo, commented on the evolving business landscape in Asia, noting the influence of established leaders alongside a rising generation of talent. The prominence of technology, she stated, reflects its growing impact on the Asian economy and the increasing role of women in this transformation.
Yang emphasized the critical role of women leaders in the AI industrial revolution, stating the challenge lies not just in implementing technology, but in redesigning work and investing in talent development. With responsibility for Foxconn's over 240 plants in 24 countries, Yang believes that in five years, the best factories will be those where humans, AI, and robots complement and enhance each other.
Earlier in 2026, Yang was also recognized among Fortune's Most Powerful Women in Business. Her work integrates Foxconn's global manufacturing scale and engineering prowess with software, data, IT infrastructure, and artificial intelligence. She previously served as Foxconn's first rotating CEO, focusing on strengthening enterprise-level execution and governance.
