Fractus and Geotab Settle US Patent Litigation

Fractus, a pioneer in antenna technology and patent licensing, announced on July 27, 2026, that it has reached an amicable settlement with Geotab, concluding patent infringement litigation before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

This agreement marks a significant step for Fractus in the connected fleet and transportation technology market. It resolves the legal dispute with Geotab and affirms the relevance of Fractus' patented antenna technology in Internet of Things (IoT) applications where reliable wireless performance is critical.

Fractus also reported an expansion of its IoT licensee base, which it stated further strengthens its position within the IoT ecosystem. The company views this as evidence of the growing value of its technology in fleet management, goods tracking, and mobile asset monitoring.

The market for fleet telematics and goods tracking is experiencing rapid growth as transportation and logistics companies seek to enhance visibility, safety, compliance, and efficiency. Industry forecasts predict a substantial increase in the deployment of fleet management systems in North America by 2029. Fractus' patented antenna innovations are designed to provide the compact, high-performance multiband connectivity essential for these IoT devices, operating effectively under challenging conditions and spatial constraints.
