Frederick Arts Council Launches Record Label With Libby Knight Debut
The Frederick Arts Council (FAC) is launching a new record label, "Good People," on October 30. Its inaugural release will feature local singer-songwriter Libby Knight.
The Frederick Arts Council (FAC) announced the launch of its new record label, "Good People," on October 30, 2026, expanding its support for artists in Frederick County. The label's first release will feature two songs by local artist Libby Knight.
Libby Knight, a 14-year-old singer-songwriter from Frederick, Maryland, will have her songs "Someone So Bad" and "Bows" released digitally and on vinyl. Knight is a self-taught pianist who writes about human relationships.
The release coincides with a live performance by Knight at FAC's Sky Stage in Frederick on October 30. Hip-hop artist Retro/Ricole is scheduled to host the event.
"The launch of the FAC record label builds upon the Council's longstanding commitment to investing in artists and strengthening Frederick's creative economy," said Louise Kennelly, executive director of the Frederick Arts Council. FAC has supported local artists for 50 years through grants, public art, and performance opportunities.
