Freeze-Dried Snack Business Targets $1 Million in Sales
Food tech company OHME! Foods, initially a side hustle, has generated over $100,000 in sales at farmers' markets and is expanding into retail.

OHME! Foods, a freeze-dried snack company based in Richmond, British Columbia, began as a side venture and is now on track to achieve $1 million in annual sales. The company was co-founded by Jenny and Han Yue.
Yue initiated the business while working in health informatics. The couple invested approximately $5,000 in equipment to start producing freeze-dried fruit. Their products quickly gained traction at local farmers' markets, generating over $100,000 in weekend sales.
Following this success, OHME! Foods has expanded beyond farmers' markets and is now entering the retail sector. The company aims to provide healthier snack options for consumers seeking convenience and quality.
Company co-founder Jenny Yue has advised aspiring entrepreneurs to "Give yourself 30 days," suggesting a focus on rapid initiative and execution in business development.
