Frequentis renews German Armed Forces military radar data network

Austrian technology group Frequentis AG has signed a follow-on contract with the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) to renew and maintain its military radar data network, known as MilRADNET. This system is crucial for national and pan-European airspace surveillance.
The MilRADNET network, originally conceived in 2004, connects 22 locations across Germany and facilitates the exchange and distribution of military flight surveillance data and flight plan information. The renewed contract signifies an extension of the long-standing partnership between the Bundeswehr and Frequentis.
Frequentis will supply the network with a combination of proven and new technologies to ensure robust and efficient data transfer. This upgraded infrastructure is intended to bolster Germany's air defense capabilities and contribute to the safety of the European airspace. The company has not disclosed financial details of the contract.
