Freyya Secures Oversubscribed Pre-Seed Funding for FDA Submission and Commercialization

Freyya Inc., a company focused on women's pelvic health technology, has announced the successful close of an oversubscribed pre-seed financing round. The funding, led by Alamo Angels, will provide the capital necessary to advance the company's technology through upcoming U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulatory milestones and build the foundation for commercialization.

The company has completed its product build and clinical testing, including the ERICA clinical study conducted at the University of Utah. Freyya has also engaged a contract manufacturer to prepare for commercial-scale production. Freyya is now preparing its submission to the FDA and aims for commercial release following regulatory clearance.

"This financing gives Freyya the resources to stay focused on the milestones that matter most: completing our FDA submission, advancing through the regulatory process, and preparing for commercialization," stated Dr. Gabriele Niederauer, CEO and Co-Founder of Freyya. Alamo Angels, a Texas-based network of angel investors, led the round. This marks the second time the group has backed a company led by Dr. Niederauer.

Investors highlighted Freyya's potential to transform the understanding of pelvic floor and intra-abdominal pressure, translating this data into actionable plans for women. The technology aims to offer practical, personalized care for women recovering from childbirth, injury, or hormonal changes.
