Friday Payroll Platform Integrates with Business Services and AI Coding Tools
Small business payroll software Friday has expanded its integrations to connect payroll with accounting, insurance, and retirement services. The platform also now offers direct access for AI coding assistants.
Friday, a payroll software provider for small businesses, announced an expanded integrations program connecting its platform to various business operations and enabling direct access for AI coding tools.
The software now allows customers to sync completed payrolls with QuickBooks Online, obtain business insurance quotes and purchase policies through Coverdash, report workers' compensation wages to SmartPay for pay-as-you-go premiums, and offer 401(k) plans from Human Interest with contributions processed per payroll run.
For developers, Friday has introduced a self-serve Partner API and webhooks. A new MCP server (Model Context Protocol) allows AI coding assistants, such as Claude Code and Cursor, to directly access Friday's API documentation. This enables AI tools to understand endpoint behavior and assist with API calls, streamlining the integration development process.
"Most small business owners don’t want another system. They want payroll to stop being the place where they re-enter the same numbers. Every integration we’ve added does one job: take the payroll data you already have and send it where it needs to go — your books, your insurance carrier, your 401(k) provider, or your own software," said Hershy Goldstein, founder and CEO of Friday.
Friday aims to simplify administrative tasks for small businesses by centralizing data and automating workflows. The new integrations and developer tools are available immediately, with detailed documentation provided on their website.
