Employees and management at Friedhelm Loh Group raised a record €220,000 for charitable causes in 2020. The donations are supporting eleven regional and international non-profit organizations.
The Friedhelm Loh Group (FLG) collected a record €220,000 in its annual employee and management donation campaign for 2020. The funds will be distributed to eleven charities, supporting both local and international initiatives.
Among the beneficiaries are Caritas-Werkstätten Westerwald-Rhein-Lahn, which provides employment opportunities for individuals with mental or developmental disabilities, and Oberlausitz Kinderhilfe. The latter organization is using its share to improve facilities at the children's hospital in Bautzen, including providing toys and a library.
Internationally, the Debora Foundation India, established in memory of Prof. Friedhelm Loh's wife, received a portion of the donation. The foundation primarily supports families from the Dalit caste and has focused on providing emergency aid, such as food and hygiene supplies, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Friedhelm Loh Group has a long-standing tradition of charitable giving, having raised over €5 million in the last 20 years. Additionally, the Rittal Foundation, established in 2011, has disbursed nearly €2 million to projects in education, culture, and science.
