Frisco Daycare Faces Third Lawsuit Over Alleged Child Safety Law Violations
A Frisco daycare center is facing a third lawsuit alleging violations of child safety laws. The latest complaint details accusations of widespread mistreatment and neglect in a classroom for three-year-olds.
Frisco, Texas – A Frisco daycare, Kids 'R' Kids of Lawler Farm, is now the subject of a third lawsuit alleging failures to protect children and violations of state safety laws within its three-year-old classroom. The most recent complaint details accusations of extensive mistreatment, reckless endangerment, and repeated failures by the facility to adhere to Texas child safety regulations.
The lawsuit was filed this week in Collin County by Annalise Sisson on behalf of her three-year-old daughter. Represented by The Button Law Firm, Sisson accuses the daycare of negligence, reckless endangerment, and failing to safeguard the children entrusted to its care. The complaint states that management was aware of staff using excessive force on children and leaving them unsupervised outdoors, with one owner reportedly responding to a report of misconduct with a joke.
According to the lawsuit, Sisson herself reviewed surveillance footage showing a caregiver aggressively yanking her daughter by the arm, forcefully shoving her into a chair, and yelling at her. Despite this incident, the caregiver allegedly received only a warning and continued to work with the same children. The lawsuit further claims that the daycare owners failed to report the suspected abuse to the state or notify other parents, which are requirements under Texas daycare laws.
An independent investigation by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) uncovered multiple video recordings depicting caregivers using excessive force on children and hitting them. As a result of the investigation, Kids 'R' Kids of Lawler Farm received eight citations for violating child safety laws. Attorney Russell Button stated that these citations indicate systemic safety failures and a reckless disregard for the children's well-being.
As more families come forward to shed light on alleged incidents, these actions aim to hold Kids 'R' Kids of Lawler Farm accountable for its alleged failures in child protection. The case is being pursued by Annalise Sisson in Collin County.
