FRITZ! Celebrates 40 Years of Network Technology Development
Berlin-based company FRITZ! is marking its 40th anniversary, having shaped the digital home in Germany and Europe with products known for simplicity and security.

German network equipment manufacturer FRITZ! is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Founded in 1986 in Berlin, the company has established itself as a key player in the European home networking market.
FRITZ! is recognized for its product line that emphasizes ease of use and robust security. Key milestones in the company's history include the FRITZ!Card in 1995, which simplified digital communications, and the FRITZ!Box, launched in 2004. This device integrated a modem, wireless router, telephone system, and later a smart home hub, fundamentally changing home networking.
The company has consistently expanded its product portfolio to include Wi-Fi repeaters, Mesh solutions, and smart home devices. FRITZ! highlights its in-house development at its Berlin facilities and manufacturing within Europe. Currently, over 50 million FRITZ! products are in use worldwide.
Following the founders' retirement due to age, the company saw new ownership and management last year. FRITZ! now operates in over 40 countries and is committed to promoting open standards and user digital sovereignty in home networks. The company actively participates in the development of international telecommunications and digital security standards.
