FRITZ! introduces smart heating and Matter support at Light + Building 2026
Berlin-based FRITZ! has unveiled the FRITZ!Smart Thermo 303 radiator controller and Matter standard integration for the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro at the industry trade fair in Frankfurt.
At the Light + Building 2026 fair in Frankfurt, FRITZ! GmbH is showcasing new additions to its smart home portfolio. The company is debuting the FRITZ!Smart Thermo 303, a compact radiator controller designed for environments where space is limited or physical security is a priority.
The new thermostat is managed via the FRITZ!App Smart Home and is intended for use in residential, commercial, and educational settings to optimize energy consumption. By expanding its hardware lineup, the company aims to offer more flexibility for users managing heating systems remotely.
In addition to hardware, FRITZ! is testing support for the Matter smart home standard on its FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro via its FRITZ! Lab program. This integration seeks to improve interoperability, allowing FRITZ! devices to function within broader ecosystems such as Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa. The company is also highlighting its latest Wi-Fi 7 and 5G-enabled network devices at the exhibition.
