FRITZ! Launches New FRITZ!Box Router Generation and Network Upgrades

FRITZ! unveiled new FRITZ!Box router generation and updated network devices at IFA 2026, featuring support for fiber, 5G, and Wi-Fi 7 technology.

German technology company FRITZ! has introduced a new generation of its FRITZ!Box routers and other network devices at IFA 2026, designed to meet evolving home networking demands.

The new FRITZ!Box DSL/Fiber 7-90 leads the company's revamped router lineup. This device combines modern design with powerful features, including support for fiber and DSL connections, and the new Triband Wi-Fi 7 standard, offering speeds up to 12.2 Gbit/s. It also includes Multi-Gigabit LAN ports and smart home capabilities.

FRITZ! is expanding its fiber offerings with the FRITZ!Box 5630 XGS, supporting high-speed XGS-PON connections up to 10 Gbit/s. For mobile networks, the FRITZ!Box 6835 5G with Wi-Fi 7 was presented. Wireless network coverage is enhanced by the new FRITZ!Repeater 6700 Pro, a Quadband Wi-Fi 7 repeater operating on the 6 GHz band with a 10 Gbit/s LAN port.

In the smart home sector, FRITZ! introduced the FRITZ!Smart Energy 201 smart plug and the FRITZ!Smart Thermo 303 thermostat. Additionally, the upcoming FRITZ!OS 8.50 update and an enhanced MyFRITZ!App were announced, aiming to improve user experience and security.

The company also announced the immediate availability of the FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro, billed as the first cable modem router with Wi-Fi 7, an integrated DOCSIS modem, and Zigbee and DECT smart home support.
