FRITZ! Unveils New Router Generation and Wi-Fi 7 Hardware at IFA 2026
FRITZ! GmbH has introduced its latest generation of networking hardware at IFA 2026, featuring Wi-Fi 7, 10 Gbps fiber support, and upgraded smart home integration.
At the IFA 2026 trade show in Berlin, FRITZ! announced a significant expansion of its networking product portfolio to coincide with the company’s 40th anniversary. The new lineup is led by the FRITZ!Box DSL/Fiber 7-90, a redesigned router that supports tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and multi-gigabit LAN connectivity, aimed at high-demand digital households.
The hardware updates focus on maximizing throughput across various connection types. For cable customers, the company introduced the FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro, which integrates Wi-Fi 7 with DOCSIS technology. For fiber users, the new FRITZ!Box 5630 XGS provides compatibility with 10 Gbit/s XGS-PON connections. Additionally, the FRITZ!Repeater 6700 Pro aims to extend network coverage using quad-band Wi-Fi 7 technology.
Supporting these hardware releases, the company is rolling out FRITZ!OS 8.50, which includes security and usability enhancements. The ecosystem is further expanded through new smart energy and climate control devices. These additions reflect a broader industry trend toward integrated, high-speed home networking capable of managing intensive data usage for gaming and remote work.
