FRITZ! GmbH has released the new FRITZ!Box 5630 router, designed for fiber optic connections. The device aims to provide a powerful networking solution by integrating a compact form factor with modern Wi-Fi 7 technology.

The router supports internet speeds of up to 2.5 Gbit/s and features an integrated fiber modem, eliminating the need for a separate Optical Network Terminal (ONT). This integration is intended to reduce power consumption and simplify setup. The FRITZ!Box 5630 also includes one 2.5 Gigabit WAN/LAN port and three Gigabit LAN ports for wired connectivity.

Equipped with Wi-Fi 7, the device offers wireless speeds up to 2,880 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 688 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. It also supports intelligent WLAN Mesh and Multi Link Operation for optimizing wireless performance. A built-in DECT base station is included for telephony and smart home applications.

The FRITZ!Box 5630 joins FRITZ!'s expanding portfolio of fiber devices, which includes the higher-end FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro and the FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS for 10G connections. The FRITZ!Box 5630 is now available at a recommended retail price of 289 euros.
