FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro brings Wi-Fi 7 and Multi-Gigabit Speeds to Cable Connections

FRITZ! GmbH has launched its new FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro cable router, making Wi-Fi 7 technology and multi-gigabit internet speeds available for cable connections.
The new model features Triband Wi-Fi 7 technology across three frequency bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz), enabling a total wireless data transfer rate of up to 12.2 Gbit/s. The device integrates a cable modem and supports multi-gigabit internet connections, significantly enhancing network performance in households with numerous wireless devices.
Designed to handle demanding network tasks like streaming and gaming, the FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro converts cable TV signals into IP packets, allowing for IPTV and SAT>IP services to be streamed within the home network. Additionally, the router offers comprehensive telephony functions and integrates smart home capabilities via DECT and Zigbee standards, enabling centralized management of compatible smart devices.
For wired connections, the FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro includes one 2.5-gigabit LAN port and three gigabit LAN ports. It also features a DECT base station for up to six cordless phones and five built-in answering machines. The FRITZ!Failsafe feature allows for the setup of a secondary internet connection to ensure failover.
