Frontline Festival Scotland Secures Support from New Campaign Ambassadors

Ceangail CIC, a social enterprise based in Stirling, is organizing the virtual Frontline Festival Scotland to raise funds for frontline charities and support the country's creative sector. The event has gained new campaign ambassadors, including Scottish actress Simone Lahbib.

The festival, set to take place around St. Andrew's Day, aims to generate financial support for charities assisting frontline workers. It also seeks to provide a platform for Scottish artists who have faced significant financial challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to ongoing pandemic restrictions, the festival will be presented virtually. Organizers have decided to pre-record most performances to mitigate cancellation risks and ensure safety, although live presenters will host from a small venue without an audience.

"We thought about this for a few weeks," stated Matt McGrandles, Director of Ceangail CIC. "I explored several outdoor venue options across central Scotland, but it became clear we would be taking too much of a chance if the pandemic extended into the winter months, so we decided that for the safety of everyone involved it would be best to limit interactions of event crew, artists and fans."

While the festival will be free to view, attendees are encouraged to donate via the event's Just Giving page. Ceangail CIC is also appealing for further business sponsorships and partnerships for the festival.
