Fujifilm has announced the forthcoming release of the FUJINON GF19-35mmT3.5 PZ OIS WR, a new interchangeable lens for its GFX series of medium format cameras. This marks Fujifilm's second powered zoom lens in the GF lens line and is scheduled to be available in late July 2026.
The new lens covers a focal range of 19-35mm, which equates to approximately 15-28mm in 35mm format. Its optical design comprises 23 elements in 15 groups, featuring four ED (extra-low dispersion) elements and three aspherical elements to correct aberrations. The lens utilizes a 13-blade aperture and Nano GI coating to suppress ghosting and flare.
With a length of approximately 22.2cm and weighing around 2.1kg, the GF19-35mmT3.5 PZ OIS WR shares identical dimensions with the GF32-90mmT3.5 PZ OIS WR, allowing for common accessory usage. Fujifilm has also enhanced the lens's optical stabilization by improving motion sensing accuracy and optimizing the stabilization mechanism.
The introduction of this lens expands Fujifilm's offerings for professional cinematographers and high-end still photographers utilizing the GFX system. The market for medium format cinema lenses continues to grow, driven by demand for superior image quality and creative flexibility in professional productions.
