Fujitsu and Supermicro Expand Strategic Collaboration for Generative AI Platform
Fujitsu and Supermicro are deepening their strategic collaboration in AI computing to offer enterprises a dedicated generative AI platform. The new service package, available from July 2025, includes Supermicro servers, Fujitsu maintenance, and management tools.

Fujitsu Limited and Super Micro Computer, Inc. are expanding their strategic partnership in AI computing, aiming to provide businesses with dedicated platforms for generative AI. The collaboration will result in a comprehensive managed service offering, combining Supermicro's high-performance servers with Fujitsu's support and management solutions, set to launch in July 2025. This initiative is designed to facilitate the secure application of generative AI within enterprise environments.
The companies have introduced the PRIMERGY GX2570 M8s, a Supermicro OEM server featuring advanced GPU technology. The offering includes SupportDesk, a high-quality maintenance and operational support service for Supermicro products, including liquid-cooled and GPU servers. Additionally, the Infrastructure Manager tool simplifies server administration. Fujitsu will integrate these components with its proprietary Takane large language model (LLM) to provide a managed service allowing customers to utilize generative AI without the burden of asset ownership.
Generative AI adoption faces challenges related to data security, unintended learning, and compliance, especially when handling confidential or personal information. The need for dedicated, high-performance computing environments, coupled with robust support and management, is a key demand. This joint offering aims to address these requirements by providing an integrated solution.
The PRIMERGY GX2570 M8s server will be available in an air-cooled 10U configuration and a liquid-cooled 4U configuration, both equipped with NVIDIA HGX B200 GPUs. Fujitsu's SupportDesk service promises rapid on-site response within Japan, leveraging a network of 4,000 engineers. The Infrastructure Manager aims to streamline the management of both Supermicro and Fujitsu servers, freeing up customer resources for application development.
The Fujitsu-managed service encompasses hardware, maintenance, management, and AI models like Takane, offering customers a flexible and cost-effective way to deploy generative AI and drive business transformation.
