Fujitsu completes acquisition of GK Software
Fujitsu Limited announced the completion of its acquisition of GK Software, making the German retail solutions provider a wholly owned subsidiary. The integration aims to strengthen Fujitsu's global retail technology offerings.

KAWASAKI, Japan โ May 28, 2025 โ Fujitsu Limited announced today the successful completion of its acquisition of GK Software, a move that integrates the German retail solutions company entirely within the Fujitsu Group. GK Software, which serves over a quarter of the world's top retailers across 60 countries, is now a wholly owned subsidiary.
The acquisition is expected to enhance Fujitsu's position in the global retail market by integrating GK Software's expertise in Point of Sale (POS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, including AI-powered price optimization. Fujitsu plans to merge its own technologies, such as Fujitsu Kozuchi and Data Intelligence PaaS, along with its global delivery capabilities, into GK Software's operations. This collaboration is designed to increase value for customers through enhanced capabilities like high-precision demand forecasting.
GK Software's retail technology will become a key component of the Consumer Experience pillar under Fujitsu Uvance, Fujitsu's strategic business platform aimed at accelerating business and addressing societal challenges. The integration is intended to bolster Fujitsu's overall proposition in the global retail sector.
Fujitsu confirmed there will be no changes to GK Software's management structure. Michael Scheibner will continue as CEO and Chairman of the Board, and Michael Jaszczyk will remain Chief Digital Transformation Officer. This continuity in leadership is intended to provide a stable foundation for the combined entity's growth and future development.
