Fujitsu Launches Japan-Made FUJITSU-MONAKA CPU and Server for Sovereign AI

Fujitsu Limited announced today the commencement of global sales for its next-generation FUJITSU-MONAKA CPU and the Fujitsu MONAKA Server. These new offerings are designed to provide high-performance capabilities for artificial intelligence applications and to support the creation of sovereign AI infrastructure.

The FUJITSU-MONAKA CPU and server are developed and manufactured entirely within Japan, incorporating a 2nm 3D-stacked semiconductor technology. Fujitsu states this configuration delivers world-class AI inference performance, emphasizing the national development and production to ensure data sovereignty for users.

Designed for enhanced processing power, the MONAKA CPU is integrated into the Fujitsu MONAKA Server. The combined solution aims to enable businesses and organizations to build and manage their own secure AI environments, reducing reliance on external cloud providers.

Fujitsu, a long-standing participant in the technology sector, is positioning these new products to strengthen its market presence in the server and data center segments. The global rollout signals the company's intent to compete in international markets with its domestic technology.

The announcement was made in Kawasaki, Japan. Commercial availability is anticipated soon, though specific launch dates and pricing details have not yet been disclosed.
