Fulcrum Launches Field Operations Management Platform

San Diego, CA โ€“ July 14, 2026 โ€“ Fulcrum today launched its AI-native Field Operations Management (FOM) platform, aiming to streamline the management of field operations. This platform is designed to replace the current patchwork of point solutions and paper-based workflows that often slow down utility field crews.

Historically, enterprise systems such as GIS, EAM, and CRM each required their own field applications. Fulcrum states that these applications only manage a part of the job and are not designed for complete workflow management. The new FOM platform pulls context from these systems and pushes completed field work back once a job is closed.

"Field Operations Management is how we consolidate the field, much like finance has consolidated onto ERP and customer operations onto CRM," said Jim Grady, CEO of Fulcrum. "We are building the entire platform AI-native, not bolting AI onto existing silos after the fact."

The platform is intended to complement, not replace, existing office systems. It integrates contextual information, such as asset records and locations, and feeds completed field work back into relevant systems. Furthermore, the platform's extensibility allows for the rapid development of AI-based capabilities, enabling operations teams to customize it to their specific needs. Utilities and their contractors are already using Fulcrum for tasks like asset management and emergency response.

The company is showcasing the platform at the Esri User Conference in San Diego through July 17.
