Future2 Foundation awards $149,000 to youth support programs

The Future2 Foundation has allocated $149,000 AUD in grants to 15 non-profit organizations during its 2022 funding round. These funds are designated for programs aimed at assisting young Australians aged 12-25 who are experiencing social, financial, or physical vulnerabilities.

This latest round of grants brings the total awarded by the foundation to over $1.6 million since its inception in 2007. The supported programs cover areas such as education, engagement, employment, wellbeing, and independent living and social inclusion.

Julie Berry CFP, chair of the Future2 Foundation, stated that the grants will enable recipients to continue their community-focused work. These grassroots organizations often rely on external funding to sustain their essential activities.

According to Berry, Future2 prioritizes projects that address specific problems, tackle root causes, demonstrate program sustainability, and offer measurable impact. The foundation's support is made possible by contributions from members of the Financial Planning Association and partners including Tangelo, Iress, Magellan, and KeyInvest.
