Chinese automaker GAC AION has released additional details regarding its forthcoming 2027 i60 model, which is officially scheduled to launch tomorrow. The company is highlighting the vehicle's extended range capabilities and technological upgrades.

The 2027 i60 model will feature an updated infotainment system, with the central control screen enlarged to 15.6 inches from the current 14.6 inches, offering a 2.5k resolution. The vehicle also includes a front trunk and load-bearing aluminum roof racks. The pure electric version is equipped with an updated electric drive system, boasting a CLTC range of 700 kilometers.

Furthermore, the car will incorporate an advanced driver-assistance system utilizing LIDAR technology and L4-equivalent algorithms for enhanced autonomous driving capabilities. Dimensions for the vehicle are 4685x1854x1660mm with a wheelbase of 2775mm. GAC AION claims the new i60 will be the world's longest-range extended-range electric vehicle, with a combined range of up to 1738km and a pure electric range of 350km.

The current AION i60, launched in November 2025, is available in both pure electric and extended-range variants, starting at 104,800 yuan. The current extended-range model offers a CLTC pure electric range of 210km and a combined range of 1240km. Pure electric versions offer ranges between 400km and 650km.
