Chinese automaker GAC Aion has announced a new over-the-air (OTA) software update for its RT electric vehicle model. The update integrates 'Nebula Space,' a feature co-developed with Huawei Cloud, aimed at enhancing the in-car digital experience.
The 'Nebula Space' feature utilizes Huawei's cloud streaming technology, reportedly removing limitations on computing power and storage. This allows users to upload and install applications after background review, thereby expanding the car's functional capabilities.
In addition to the new cloud service integration, the OTA update also brings improvements to music applications. Kugou Music is upgraded to version 6.0 with optimized animations and new features, and the QiShui Music app is also being introduced to the vehicle.
GAC Aion has been progressively enhancing its vehicles through software updates. This collaboration with Huawei signifies a move towards integrating more advanced cloud-based services and applications into the automotive platform, potentially offering users a more versatile and personalized in-car environment.
