GAC celebrates 30 millionth vehicle production milestone

Chinese automaker GAC Group reached a significant milestone on July 16, celebrating the production of its 30 millionth vehicle. The company held a ceremony at its manufacturing plant in Guangzhou, attended by provincial officials, industry leaders, and international representatives.

The 30 millionth vehicle, a GAC M8 PHEV (marketed internationally as GN8), was presented to a Thai customer during the event. The ceremony also featured live video connections to GAC's overseas production sites. The Thai plant celebrated completing its 10,000th vehicle, the Indonesian facility launched a new model, and the Graz plant in Austria officially began series production of the AION UT.

This achievement, marking 30 million vehicles over GAC's 29-year history, signifies customer trust, the company's commitment to quality and safety, and its focus on electrification and intelligent technologies. It also reflects the broader shift in China's automotive industry from prioritizing quantity to emphasizing value and quality.

GAC has been actively pursuing global expansion since 2013. In the first half of 2026 alone, the company exported over 120,000 vehicles, representing a 132% increase year-over-year. GAC currently operates in 110 countries and regions, supported by an extensive network of sales and service points, along with seven overseas manufacturing plants.
