GAC Electric Drive Technology Receives Top Award at Geneva Inventions Exhibition
GAC Group's electric drive technology, developed in collaboration, has won the highest distinction at the Geneva International Inventions Exhibition. The technology aims to enhance electric vehicle efficiency and range.

A project titled "Key Precision Manufacturing Technologies and Applications for Low-Loss Stator Cores Based on Ultra-Thin Amorphous Materials," co-developed with GAC Group, has received the Gold Medal with the Congratulations of the Jury at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. This award represents the exhibition's highest honor.
The Quark Electric Drive technology utilizes ultra-thin amorphous material in the electric motor's stator core. This innovation is designed to reduce energy loss, allowing more power to be directed towards propelling the vehicle, thereby extending the range of electric cars.
The Quark Electric Drive 2.0 motor reportedly achieves a peak efficiency of 99.03 percent, with the electric drive system reaching a CLTC operating efficiency of 94.184 percent. This advancement can reportedly increase the driving range by 30 to 50 kilometers on the same battery capacity.
GAC has already integrated this technology into models for the Chinese market, including the AION N60, 2027 AION RT, and 2027 AION i60. The company intends to expand the application of this technology to more models as it moves into mass production.
