GAC Electric Drive Technology Receives Top Honor at Geneva Inventions Exhibition
GAC Group's "Key Precision Manufacturing Technologies and Applications for Low-Loss Stator Cores Based on Ultra-Thin Amorphous Materials" project has been awarded the Gold Medal with the Jury's Congratulations at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva.

The project "Key Precision Manufacturing Technologies and Applications for Low-Loss Stator Cores Based on Ultra-Thin Amorphous Materials," a joint effort by GAC Group, has received the Gold Medal with the Jury's Congratulations at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. This award is the highest honor presented at the exhibition, requiring unanimous approval from the jury.
The technology enhances the energy efficiency of electric vehicles by applying ultra-thin amorphous materials to the motor's stator cores. This reduces energy loss within the motor, allowing more power to be directed towards propelling the vehicle. The Quark Electric Drive 2.0 motor equipped with this technology achieves a peak efficiency of 99.03%, and the electric drive system reaches a CLTC operating efficiency of 94.184%.
This innovation extends the driving range of electric vehicles with the same battery capacity by 30 to 50 kilometers. This improvement provides drivers with greater confidence in their vehicle's range for daily use and reduces the need for frequent charging.
The technology has already been integrated into GAC models for the Chinese market, including the AION N60, and the 2027 models of the AION RT and AION i60. GAC plans to further deploy this technology across its model lineup, advancing the development of highly efficient electric drive systems and delivering tangible range and efficiency benefits to consumers.
