GAC Motor's plug-in hybrid SUV, the GAC GS7, has played a key role in the company's global product expansion in the new energy vehicle sector. The vehicle has been introduced to several international markets, including Australia and Ghana.
In Australia, the GAC GS7 garnered attention at an auto show, with its design, featuring a full-width light strip with 2,248 smart LEDs, being highlighted. The model served to showcase GAC's exploration of future mobility solutions and bolster the brand's presence in the Australian market.
In Ghana, the GS7 was launched as one of GAC's flagship models upon the company's official market entry in August. It joined other vehicles such as the GS8, M8, AION i60, and AION V, offering a comprehensive range of mobility options for local consumers.
The vehicle's rollout supports GAC's significant export growth. In August, GAC's proprietary brand exports increased by 177% year-on-year, reaching 26,978 units. The cumulative export volume for January-August reached 172,008 units, a 136% increase. Notably, the African market saw an 881% surge in retail sales in August, while terminal sales in Australia rose 84% month-on-month. GAC GS7, along with other models, aids the company in meeting diverse local demands and supports GAC's progression toward a global deployment of new energy vehicles.
