GAC GT7 Plug-in Hybrid Details Revealed: CATL Battery, Huawei Driving Tech
GAC has released further details for its upcoming GT7 plug-in hybrid model. The vehicle will feature batteries from CATL and Huawei's intelligent driving system.

GAC has disclosed additional information regarding its forthcoming GT7 plug-in hybrid version, which has now been registered with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
The vehicle is reported to achieve a CLTC total range of 1300 km, with a pure electric range of 252 km. The GT7 will be equipped with CATL-manufactured batteries as standard and will feature Huawei's Kunlun Smart Driving ADS 5 system, incorporating a comprehensive perception system and collision avoidance features.
Dimensions for the new model are 5050 mm in length, 1980 mm in width, and 1480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000 mm. The car accommodates five passengers and has a top speed of 190 km/h. The powertrain utilizes a 1498 cc engine producing 125 kW. LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries are supplied by Era-Yutong Battery Technology for single units and Era-GAC Power Battery Co., Ltd. for assemblies.
The GAC GT7 was officially launched on June 26th as a collaboration between GAC and Huawei. It is positioned as a mid-size intelligent "hunting break" coupe. Pricing for the electric version of the model starts at 209,900 yuan (approximately $29,000 USD).
