GAC Launches New Energy Models in Morocco, Expands Product Lineup
GAC has officially launched three new energy vehicle models in Morocco: the GN8 PHEV, HYPETEC HT, and HYPETEC SSR. The GOVY AirCab also made its African debut at the event.
Chinese automaker GAC has expanded its presence in Morocco by launching three new energy vehicle models and introducing its GOVY AirCab to the African market. The official unveiling took place in Casablanca on September 24, during an event held with local partner M-AUTOMOTIV.
The company's product portfolio in Morocco now includes the GN8 PHEV, a new energy MPV with a combined range exceeding 1,000 km, the HYPETEC HT, an intelligent premium electric SUV, and the HYPETEC SSR, a high-performance electric supercar capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 1.9 seconds. This expansion covers various powertrain options, from ICE and HEV to PHEV and BEV.
Beyond the vehicle launches, GAC showcased its GOVY AirCab, a low-altitude mobility solution designed for short-range urban travel and aerial sightseeing. The event aimed to present GAC's vision for future mobility to over 600 guests.
Morocco is considered a key strategic location for GAC's North African expansion. The company's exclusive importer and distributor, M-AUTOMOTIV, plans to extend the sales and service network across major Moroccan cities.
