GAC Launches Three Alternative Energy Models and GOVY AirCab Concept in Morocco
GAC has introduced three new alternative energy vehicle models in Morocco and debuted the GOVY AirCab concept in Africa, expanding the company's product portfolio.

Chinese automaker GAC officially launched three new alternative energy vehicle models in Casablanca, Morocco, on September 24: the GN8 plug-in hybrid, the HYPTEC HT, and the HYPTEC SSR. The event also marked the African debut of the GOVY AirCab flying taxi concept, part of the company's future urban mobility vision.
The launch event, attended by over 600 guests, showcased GAC's expanded product offerings in partnership with its Moroccan distributor, M-AUTOMOTIV. Earlier this year, GAC introduced the S7 plug-in hybrid SUV, the EMKOO hybrid SUV, and the EMZOOM all-electric vehicle. The current lineup now includes alternative energy MPVs, intelligent all-electric SUVs, and electric supercars.
The GN8 plug-in hybrid aims to provide over 1,000 km of combined range, catering to both family and business needs. The HYPTEC HT features all-wheel drive, butterfly doors, and intelligent technology, while the HYPTEC SSR is positioned as a high-performance supercar capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds. GAC's strategy is to address diverse mobility requirements in Morocco with a comprehensive range that spans from internal combustion engines to battery electric and hybrid vehicles.
The GOVY AirCab is designed for short-distance urban transport and aerial sightseeing, representing GAC's advancements in low-altitude mobility. M-AUTOMOTIV plans to expand its sales and after-sales service network across Morocco, strengthening GAC's presence in North Africa.
