Chinese automaker GAC has announced the delivery of its 30 millionth vehicle to actor Tony Jaa in a ceremony held on July 16. While GAC did not directly release sales figures, the event underscores the company's significant global reach and its focus on quality production.
The company has invested significantly in the quality control and testing of its vehicles. GAC implements more demanding tests in its vehicle development than industry standards require, employing a "five highs, one mountain, one dust" principle and a minimum of 18 months of real-world road testing for new models. Furthermore, vehicles are tested to adapt to local conditions in various global markets.
GAC utilizes intelligent manufacturing at its AION smart ecological factory, which features a digital quality control system and AI-powered robotics. The goal is to ensure consistent quality regardless of production location.
The company also emphasizes safety, particularly in its battery technology and safety systems. GAC's batteries have been installed in 1.5 million vehicles, and its Starlink safety system is utilized by nearly two million drivers. These efforts have contributed to the company's expansion into 110 countries and the achievement of 30 million customers.
