Automaker GAC has provided Xinhua News Agency with its AION UT and GS7 models for use during a major football tournament in Mexico. The vehicles are intended to support the news agency's fast-paced and demanding reporting needs.
Reporters from Xinhua News Agency will utilize the GAC vehicles for transit between stadiums, media centers, and team hotels. The vehicles are described as functioning as mobile newsrooms, allowing journalists to organize footage and prepare for interviews during transit. The AION UT's spacious cabin accommodates camera and live-streaming equipment, while the GS7's quiet interior offers a calm environment for high-pressure reporting.
GAC has been expanding its presence in the Mexican market, offering ten different car models. The company's electric vehicle models, the AION ES and AION UT, have ranked among the top ten best-selling EVs in Mexico. The country is noted as a strategically important market for GAC's global expansion.
The company has also established a partnership with the football club Toluca FC to enhance its brand presence in Latin America. GAC aims to further increase its global reach through sports marketing, shifting towards an integrated sports ecosystem strategy rather than isolated sponsorships.
