GAC Reaches 30 Million Vehicle Production Milestone

GAC Group marked a significant production milestone on July 16, with the roll-off of its 30 millionth vehicle. The event coincided with expansions at its international manufacturing facilities; the Thailand plant celebrated its 10,000th vehicle, the Indonesian plant commenced production of a new model, and the Austrian plant in Graz officially began mass production of the AION UT.

The 30 millionth vehicle, a right-hand drive GAC M8 PHEV (marketed overseas as the GN8), was handed over to globally recognized Thai actor Tony Jaa. This handover symbolized the mutual trust and shared journey between GAC and its global customer base.

Reaching 30 million vehicles produced represents a major achievement in GAC's 29-year history. The milestone reflects the trust of millions of customers, the company's commitment to quality and safety, and its advancements in electrification and intelligent technologies. It also signifies the broader evolution of China's automotive industry from focusing on scale to emphasizing value.

GAC has been expanding its global presence since 2013. In the first half of 2026 alone, GAC's exports surged by 132% to over 120,000 vehicles. The company's global footprint now extends to 110 countries and regions across five continents, supported by over 746 sales and service outlets and seven overseas production plants. Total cumulative exports have surpassed 540,000 units.
