GAC receives eight technology awards at China-SAE event
GAC earned eight recognitions, including four first-place awards, at the China-SAE Science and Technology ceremony in Suzhou for advancements in automotive engineering.

On October 28, GAC was awarded eight honors at the China-SAE Science and Technology awards in Suzhou, Jiangsu. The recognitions spanned critical automotive sectors, including semiconductor integration, electric powertrains, vehicle safety, and AI-assisted engineering design.
One of the company's major developments involves the mass production of electric motors utilizing amorphous alloys and high-speed carbon fiber rotors. GAC reports that this motor design achieves a peak efficiency of 99.03 percent and a power density of 17.29 kW/kg. This technology has been integrated into several of the company's vehicle lines and is now available to other manufacturers.
In the semiconductor sector, GAC collaborated with 105 partners to implement nearly 1,000 locally produced chips into its vehicle ecosystems. Furthermore, a joint safety initiative with Tsinghua University led to the development of a domestic ASIL-D security controller, a technology currently utilized in approximately 1.44 million vehicles.
The firm also showcased advancements in AI-driven body-in-white (BIW) design. By utilizing AI algorithms, GAC claims to have shortened conceptual design times to five hours while improving rigidity prediction accuracy to over 95 percent. This process has been applied to recent vehicle models, including the second-generation GS8 and the new S7.
